Julia has been working with NYBEP, a not-for-profit organisation, since 2020. In this time, she has had two main roles, these being supporting the Board in its business development, and, just as importantly, helping a new CEO develop and thrive in their first senior management position. Julia provides an expert blend of business understanding, support, and challenge to both the Board and the CEO. This has had a significant impact for both the organisation and CEO, especially during the Covid pandemic, and her work with us is highly valued.

I have worked with Julia as a colleague Non-Executive Director Board member of a Mental Health and Learning Disability NHS FT for over four years and witnessed, at first hand, the excellent and sustained contribution she has made to improving services in a complex and challenging environment.

Julia is an experienced leader who is able to translate her highly developed strategic thinking into clear planning, impactful delivery and highly effective performance management. Her leadership of the Quality Agenda and Workforce Agenda at Board level facilitated significant and sustained improvements and are a lasting testimony to her excellent project and process management skills.

Julia is no ordinary consultant. She has authentic direct experience in leading major change in complex and challenging contexts, including the NHS at a time of unprecedented change and uncertainty. Her skill-set, coupled with a highly engaging, motivating and determined style, means that she always meets and regularly exceeds her client’s expectations. Julia was a Non-Executive Director (NED) at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and served four and a half years standing down at the end of January 2022.

Whilst a NED, Julia was Chair of the Board Quality Committee holding a significant portfolio of NED responsibilities demonstrating a strong set of skills and expertise that brought significant value added to the Board. Through her role as Chair of Quality she supported the development of the governance of that committee to ensure that the Board had significant assurance on the quality agenda. Julia very much championed the quality and quality improvement agenda. She was strong in holding Executive colleagues as well as the Board to account. Julia brought her expertise from other sectors to the Board.

Julia is engaging and a good team player and was well respected and liked by Board colleagues. She also developed an excellent relationship with members of the Council of Governors especially those in the Oldham Constituency. She will be greatly missed.

Julia has a broad range of skills, experience, and expertise that she has gained within the NHS and Health Sector as well as other sectors. Julia has a strong value base which drives her. I absolutely commend Julia for what she brings. She has been an asset to the Trust. It has been a pleasure to work with Julia and I thank her for her commitment and contribution whilst she was a NED on the Board and wish her every success in the future.

Julia has been an invaluable source of guidance and advice in my own professional development. Her insightful analysis of organisational structure and procedures has been instrumental in helping our business to evolve. Julia immediately gained the trust of all our senior staff with her incisive understanding and clarity of thinking. Julia has supported strategy workshops for us. Her guidance and facilitation of our sessions has enabled my senior team to stay focused on a review of the challenges and opportunities our business faces and agree priority actions. Julia has been part of our associate team since May 2016. She has supported the delivery of organisational and team development to the practices participating in the clinical pharmacist in general practice programme. She is the named facilitator for a number of practices. This role includes engaging, communicating and providing facilitated sessions to groups of practices looking at embedding the new role and managing change both for practice teams and for their patients.

Julia has had really inspiring success in challenging circumstances. She is reliable and tenacious and has responded to a variety of different practice cultures and challenges with warmth and professionalism. She has been able to share her learning and expertise formally through case studies and informally via a peer support network, from which we have all benefitted.

Julia is a first class facilitator. She worked in partnership with me to deliver a series of complex workshops for health and social care partners in Warrington. This was part of our work programme to build collaborative teams between primary care, community nurses and social care.

She designed tailored workshops to draw out opportunities and issues in an open, constructive manner. She has a unique ability to create inclusive conversations, to air the issues, discuss solutions and build towards jointly agreed action plans to take forward. Julia used a range of creative and effective tools during the workshops which helped to draw out ideas and build quality conversations.

Julia prepares thoroughly to build her own understanding of the context, additionally she has exceptional listening skills. The outcome of her workshops were 7 clear actions plans one for each of the cluster primary health and social care teams forming the basis of improved integrated services in Warrington.

Julia is thoroughly professional, and was a pleasure to work with throughout. I would love to work with her again in the future, and would highly recommend her to others.

Julia has been a committed and reliable member of our Delivery Consultant team since August 2012. She is responsible for supporting and guiding practices through the Productive General Practice improvement programme.

Julia built excellent relationships with her allocated practices in Warrington, Scunthorpe and Leeds. Julia is flexible and responsive to the needs of each practice. She succeeded in keeping her practices engaged and motivated throughout the 18 month programme.

From the outset Julia has taken a proactive approach to updating the resources for the programme to improve the quality of delivery across the organisation.

Julia joined our project management team in 2014 as a part time senior project manager, to assist us in delivering a large scale change programme as part of the national Prime Ministers Challenge Fund Initiative.

Julia has always been very client focussed and professional in delivering the work programmes that we have asked her to deliver.   Her latest role has been working to deliver complex projects for a group of Doctors in Warrington. They are a tough audience however they have highly rated Julia and speak very highly of her both personally and professionally.

Her project management skills are excellent, as are her facilitation and training skills. I have found Julia to be very reliable, professional and pleasant to deal with and would wholeheartedly recommend her.

Julia has worked with me at The Alternative Board for 3 years, where we work closely with local business owners and Managing Directors. I have seen her consistently deliver an exceptional standard of facilitation, displaying excellent leadership and communications skills.In addition, Julia has a real ability to develop trusting and valuable coaching relationships with her clients; she does this through a terrific combination of empathy and intelligence.

I have been most fortunate to work with Julia on a complex continuous improvement programme and have been exceptionally impressed with her ability to immediately build relationships with clients and rapidly understand the functionality of programme requirements. Julia is most definitely a safe pair of hands and can be trusted to progress any project that she is involved in.

I worked with Julia at both Schering Health Care and Sue Ryder where she delivered key strategic projects. She is extremely bright and assimilates new ideas and concepts quickly and works really well with people at all levels of the organisation. She is incredibly focused and well organised and I have always had complete confidence in her ability to deliver projects on time, to plan and within budget.
