About me

Since 2010 I have run my own consultancy business. My clients are mostly in the health and care sector but extend to the business sector where I coach leaders and facilitate strategic workshops.

I bring in skilled associates to provide subject matter expertise and to help to manage larger pieces of work.

I work as an associate for Primary Care Commissioning, supporting the development of organisations, leaders and teams. This has included work to enable the voice of primary care to be heard in new Integrated Care System structures. In addition, I adopted a regional coordination role for the national Community Pharmacy Consultation Scheme.

I am a member of the National Association of Primary Care Faculty, leading change across primary care and systems. Working across a range of programmes including Service and Estate Planning Toolkit, Digital and Leadership development (Committed, Authentic, Resilient and Empowered – CARE). All of which start with a focus on population health improvement.

I was a non-executive director for Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust for 4.5 years also chair of quality committee and member of the people and workforce committee.

Before starting my own consultancy, I was an executive board member at Sue Ryder at a time of significant change for the organisation. As director of strategic initiatives, I led the strategy development process and a number of strategic projects.

It was during my time at Schering Health Care that I showed a flair for process improvement and delivering change and was promoted to the CEO’s office to lead on strategy and performance.

The early part of my career was spent in the pharmaceutical industry, with eight years at SmithKline Beecham, AstraZeneca and Schering Health Care. My roles included study management, clinical quality assurance and product management.
